Estelle is joining The Des as a research and reporting intern beginning in September 2022. She is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is currently studying law at the University of Oxford. After graduating in 2023, she plans to pursue journalism full time.

Estelle previously served as Editor-in-Chief of Cherwell, the University of Oxford’s oldest independent student newspaper. Throughout her time at Cherwell she reported on local news, while managing the online news site in addition to a biweekly print paper. Having studied a number of modules including criminal law, Estelle will specialize in Media law in the final year of her degree. She is grateful for the opportunity to combine her interests in journalism and law at The Des, and she is passionate about justice-oriented reporting.
